Career Opportunity Statement

Career Opportunity Statement
Human resource managers look for experience, skills, and qualifications of the applicant. They are categorical on the firm’s expectations from recruits when advertising for the available job opportunities. In Florida, there are dozens of multinational and local corporations that post vacancies daily on career websites. To choose an employer or a career, I consider several factors including benefits, opportunities, and the ability for a job to serve as a stepping stone to my dream career.
Correctional Officer
A job opportunity as a correctional officer at Miami-Dade County Rehabilitation and Corrections) offers me a chance to contribute to my community’s wellbeing by being part of a law enforcement team. The responsibilities of a correctional officer include the provision of safety, supervision of junior staff, and upholding of prisoner safety (Dvoskin et al. 46). Florida Department assesses the employees periodically to determine discipline, competence, and dedication to service. In turn, the firm recognizes excellent correctional officers through promotions, and entitlements to better benefits.
Warden
At Florida Department of Corrections, the authorities entrust wardens with the oversight of important facilities and institutions in the community like churches, prisons, fire fighting, and colleges. In particular, a warden post at a correctional facility is in line with my passion as a champion of prisoner’s rights (Cullen et al. 153). While the benefits are dismal for warden officers at Florida, the experience accumulated is a stepping stone for a better career within the organization.
Criminal Justice Instructor
The Job of a criminal justice instructor at Florida International University entails a provision of skills and knowledge to law enforcement students. Occasionally, the instructor can train workers of non-profit organizations. Florida International University entitles a criminal justice instructor with total annual benefits of up to $71, 000 depending experience and academic qualifications. Furthermore, the HR manager considers the instructors for better career opportunities should they arise within the department. There are remarkable opportunities for mobility too.
