Prompt

Prompt 4
When Rafael Nageretti highlights writing experience as applied ‘metacognition’, she implies that the entire process of writing entails thought production for others and oneself as directed by a person’s objective mind regulation, monitoring, and control. Eventually, the writer translates his or her thoughts externally into a symbolic representation. I agree with her because writing demands a thought process, where think-aloud protocols are applied. Writers negotiate with other people socially to produce meaning. At the same time, they can engage in solitary cognition to brainstorm ideas. Of keen to note is that the entire process involves the use of brain to manipulate and store information for future use (Hacker et al., 2009).
Prompt 5
The theme and nature of books, blogs, and movies affect the writer's judgement and his/her subconscious mind. Emotional novels, for instance, wield a powerful effect on reader's mindset besides lowering psyche on rhetorical writing strategies. Therefore, it is important for any aspiring writer to refrain from reading contents that conflict with their ideas and beliefs to avoid clouding their judgment. On the other hand, reading appropriate content, especially fictional stories, can be inspirational as they spark and expand reader's imagination hence ensuring a free flow of ideas on rhetorical strategies. The tone and subject of a reading material also affect the way a writer delivers his/her information.
Prompt 6
Collin's aim in his speech is to encourage his audience to enjoy the moment's beauty and to concentrate on the existing activities rather than focusing on future activities in a fast moving world. His speech serves as a reminder of the need for reconsideration on how people spend their time engaging in unconstructive deeds. He warns of a poor quality of life that modern people live today as compared to how older generations observed time. His hope is that the audience will realize what they are missing by taking life at face value. His message is that young people should not be too greedy to live fruitfully.
Prompt 7
According to Chimamanda Adichie claims that people should no focus on a one-sided story from regions like Africa. She says that story on Africa is poorly highlighted by the media, hence depicting a skewed image of the continent to the world. What many people do not realize is that Africa and other regions of Middle East have their fair share of prosperity, democracy, and economic development. The danger of a single story is that the audience risks a critical misunderstanding. In her effective logical appeal, Adichie says that most Americans view Africa as an active war zone and a single country. While there is some truth in this, the fact is that Africa has more than 50 countries and some peaceful regions too.
Prompt 8
Attending peer review workshops has enabled me to collaborate with my colleagues in developing effective writing skills. Often we engage in commenting and reading each other’s ideas or drafts, thus the elimination of errors and rectification of message delivery techniques. Mostly, I obtained prompt, timely, and direct feedback regarding my work-in-progress. We paired up in small groups as per our writing capabilities. After a few weeks in this program, my reading and writing skills have developed remarkably. I can now generate independent ideas and rhetorical strategies for writing. Peer review attendance has enhanced my concept of readership as well (Lundstrom et al., 2011)

Family Moment

Family Moment
Family plays a decisive role in shaping the life and character of an individual. In fact, as a child grows up, it is important that an appropriate nurturing environment is selected to avert cases of social and psychological effects in the future (Parke & Kellam, 2013). However, there are instances where factors beyond family control can threaten to alter a life of a person for the worse. Growing up in a war zone, for instance, is a major cause of low quality of life, suicides, and violence.
Section 2: Influential Cultural Memberships and Identities
I was born in Genogram Vietnam and I spent a few years there. The timing of my birth coincided with a raging war that took decades to subside in Vietnam. All my family members came from the communist country though one of my grandfathers was a US martial deployed to Vietnam (Yum, 2011). He was one of the Victims of Vietnamese civil war, and he died in 1975 during its peak.  My other grandfather from the mother's side was a powerful commissioner in Kiengiang City, Vietnam. He understood the importance of education to a girl child, even at the time when Asia was shrouded in the darkness of gender inequality. Therefore, my mother was lucky to receive education and she later became a nurse. Heavy war casualties inspired her choice of profession as Vietnam War took its toll. My grandmother was a high school teacher. Thus, it is safe to conclude that I hail from a well-off family of highly educated personalities.
Class
While being a member of a middle-class family can be considered as an advantage or beneficial, it proved a challenge to me. I struggled to adapt to a War environment. Busy schedules of my family members including my father and mother meant that I could only spend less time socializing and interacting with them. I can partially attribute the challenges I still face to a weak family bond (McGoldrick & Hardy, 2008). By the time I was three years old, the situation in Vietnam got worse. It forced some of my family members to seek refuge in an Indonesian refugee camp. Resultantly, Indonesia became my home for nearly a decade, between 1989 and the year 1997. The conditions at the camp were neither pleasant nor fit for human habitation, but it was the only way to survive brutality back at my home country. While still at the Camp, I got a scholarship to study in the United States. My family members relocated with me, but my father resorted to staying to take care of my ailing old grandmother. War had ended in Vietnam during this time.
Region
Relocating to the United States marked a turning point in my life. At first, I anticipated being a citizen of a prosperous nation where I could seamlessly pursue my dreams. What I did not realize is that America has a contrasting culture, language, and way of life as compared to conditions back home. In a few months time after I enrolled in middle school, I encountered multiple difficulties that I at one time opted to quit learning.
Cultural Memberships Shaping My Identity
Ethnicity
Adapting to a new environment was not an option for me. As a student of Vietnamese ethnic background, I could not speak English and I hardly had a basic education (Berry, 2005). To make it worse, it took some time for me to establish friendship and strong relations with my colleagues and tutors. The conditions for my family were not good either, they experienced cultural shock and could not adapt quickly, given their advanced age.
Religion
I struggled through high school but finally managed to graduate and win a scholarship to North Eastern University for Criminal Justice. I chose to pursue a career related to criminal justice having experienced violence and crime for the better part of my youthful life (Aldarondo, 2007). Before the end of my first year in the institution, a gang of rowdy students sexually assaulted me.  It was a beginning of the worst phase of my life. At one time, I contemplated committing suicide to end my streak of mystery and bad luck. The ensuing depression led to my dismal performance in academics as I could hardly concentrate or study. I opted for counseling therapy sessions buy it proved fruitless. I gave up on myself. I spent my time indoors Isolated from the public, friends, and even family members. In Asian culture and religion, virginity is important because it signifies purity. Rapists too away my purity, forever altering my mindset and the way I view all men. Fear gripped me and I became scared to even walk a few inches out of my home.
How Cultural Membership Shaped My interaction with others
Racism
Racism is a major issue in the United States.  The minority groups including African Americans, Latin Americans, and Asian Americans face challenges on a daily basis as they try to fit in a capitalistic society. For instance, when I was in high school, I found it challenging to form friendships and to collaborate with my peers because most of them were white. While this can be attributed to a language barrier, racism was a significant contributing factor. At one time, I overheard a one of the students expressing how she hated communist Asians including me. Assumptions like this propelled sharp divisions and contrast between my culture and that of my classmates hence a choice to join an Asian Community and Educations Center (Tedeschi et al., 2005).
Ethnicity
In my ethnic background, it is an abomination for a woman to engage in sex before marriage. As a student in the United States, I got engaged immediately after my graduation. A few months later I became pregnant before marriage. My father and mother in law rejected me soon learned that I was once a victim of sexual assault and had engaged in sex before marriage with their son. Resultantly, my interaction with my fiancé was cut short. I tried to terminate my pregnancy as my social relationships soured, but I was unsuccessful. In the end, I decided to bring up my child single-handedly.
Racism and ethnicity are interrelated. They are the core pillars of any culture or society. For example, most people of Asian origin prefer a dictatorial leadership as compared to European democracy. Besides, it is clear from my story that gender inequality is prevalent among Asians and people of Vietnamese ethnic background.
Family Influence
My family’s cultural background and the Vietnam’s situation during my childhood have affected my expression of emotions, child rearing practices and individualism in my line of work. I attribute my multiple attempts of suicide and abortion to a dysfunctional Vietnamese middle-class family structure. My moment would have been different if I received adequate care from my father and mother in a serene environment (Mirick, 2012). The mobility of my family from one country to the other resulted in my challenges in assimilation to different cultures as well.
Section 3: Theoretical Perspective
Theory of change is applicable in my case. I resorted to joining Asian Community and Center School as a reform strategy. I realized that for a positive experience in my life, I had to accept my past and forge ahead. I still had a life to live in spite of several setbacks in my past. My inspiration for change emanated from a need to provide a better care to my child and not to let my past dictate my future. It was a means of avoiding a repetition of my suffering and the continuity of a negative vicious cycle (Marris, 2014). Joining the community was the best decision I made. I have an opportunity to interact with people that understand my situation and assist me in my path towards recovery from humiliation, rejection, and depression.
Section 4: Self-Reflective Practice
The course content is applicable to my case. They form part of my journey towards full integration in the American society. Currently, my progress is steady as I have remarkably gained from the engagement.  Prior to course enrollment, I barely understood my weaknesses and strengths. I am gradually becoming more confident in my approach to challenges and in bridging a gap between my past and present with regards to cultural context, beliefs, and personal values through interactions with peers and instructors (Greenfield & Cocking, 2014).

Merits of Forrest Gump Movie

Merits of Forrest Gump Movie
Forrest Gump is a 1994 drama-comedy movie partly based on a novel authored by Winston groom during late 1980s. Robert Zemeckis directs the film. It depicts Forrest Grump’s life as an athletically prodigious and good-hearted man, but equally naive and slow-witted Alabama resident. What makes the movie exceptional is the ingenious application of extensive visual effects to develop several scenes while incorporating the main characters into the archived footage. Besides, the director uses a comprehensive soundtrack. Robert Zemeckis employs music to pinpoint particular timeframes as projected on the screen (Groom, 2013). It is an effective strategy that keeps the viewer glued to the screen at the same time arousing feelings and memories of the second half of 20th Century in America.
The Film stresses the importance of loyalty, friendship and family. While the audience can question certain figures and historic events, the film receives credit for highlighting pertinent issues like war, child abuse, and racism that cripple the modern society.  Forrest, as protagonists, brings out the best in people because of his big heart and abject naivety. His hard work, devotion, and focus are inspirational to film’s audience (Groom, 2013).
Forrest Grump introduces younger viewers to prominent and defining moments of 20th Century. Oscar-winning visual effects enable protagonist to interact with former presidents of the United States like J.F. Kennedy. In addition, Forrest instructs Presley on how to execute pelvis dance. Analysts argue that the film is an accomplished cyber-cinema feat that makes even subtle tricks look seamless. The movie audience is bound to marvel at sheer genius and wizardry behind these visual effects. For example, in the opening credit sequence, a drifting feather is featured on an adequately choreographed trajectory until it lands on an intended destination. In this way, Zemeckis depicts a clear visual embodiment of protagonist's path in life.
Hank's extraordinary acting skills drown stereotyped simpleton traits of Forrest. Instead, he portrays the character as believable and sympathetic, much to audience's amusement. His breathtaking performance is a balancing act between sadness and comedy in a plot rich in quiet truths and laughs. Some of the conflicts that Forrest battles in the film include man versus man and the protagonist versus nature. Personal conflict emerges both in the main character’s role and those of others (Groom, 2013).
There is a quite subtle race relations story in Forrest Gun. Forrest is a resident of Greenbow Alabama—a fictional town in a southern state. Desegregation is one of the issues that the movie attempts to highlight. The film paint image of African Americans in two ways: blacks living in a modern society and those of the civil rights movement era. In the beginning, Forrest holds a conversation with an African American nurse. There is no noticeable instance of racist remarks or views in this scene because it occurs in the year 1994 when race relations were a non-issue. However, the portrayal of relations between blacks and whites changes dramatically during flashbacks.
In summary, it is clear that Forrest Gump has numerous merits to the audience and in the accurate portrayal of 20th Century American society. Most importantly, application of excellent visual effects guarantees audience satisfaction besides making the film one of the best in American history. Most of its characters are convincing (Groom, 2013). Besides, the story has a distinct sequence ensuring that viewers can follow closely the chronological events as they unfolded in history.

A Cheaters Guide to Love

A Cheater’s Guide to Love
A Cheater’s Guide to Love is a short story authored by Junot Diaz. It focuses on Yuno’s personal life as a successful college professor (external conflict) and writer struggling through his romantic relationships (internal conflict). Often, the writer breaks out of first-person narration to address his audience directly. Diaz has a unique trait of confidence that flatters the readers. Yunor de las Casas’ voice is peppered with slang and profanity. The protagonist’s journey closely mirrors that of his creator, given his movements from Santo Domingo to Harvard University halls. His seamless and artistic code-switching technique between English and Spanish languages ensures smooth passage of his message to the intended audience (Leech et al., 2013). Diaz employs Yunior’s character to explore and resolve personal conflicts that ensue due to intersections between loss and love, desire and displacement as experienced by immigrants in the United States.
Direct Address
In the initial passages of the story, Yunior interrupts the narrative description to address the reader directly—“Your girl catches you cheating..." (Diaz 2012).  A technique like this conceives a sense of intimacy besides foregrounding the author's ability to write while targeting a specified reader. In this case, Diaz focuses on gaining the attention of a reader that experiences life as he has, through instances of rejections, loneliness, and engagement in promiscuity .Yunior navigates some of the figurative and literal boundaries that once confined him in the past. However, as the story unfolds, the main character remains defined by the legacy he has coined from his formative experiences.
Illogical Progress of the Story
A Cheater’s Guide to Love capture Diaz’s connection between the present and the past. In a stylistic manner hardly replicable in a story, the writer notes down the link between his becoming and being. It is closely portrayed in Yunior’s life rendered in fragments. The character's present is always past because the events in the short story unfold in patterns and cycles rather than novelistic resolution and progression. In fact, this aesthetic choice of literary style can function as a social critique (Ohmann, 2014). While a story is supposed to progress logically in a narrative form, Diaz's A Cheater’s Guide to Love disrupts the social narrative of progress shaping the reader’s understanding and knowledge of the immigrant experience in the United States. The story contains moments of success and triumph such as when Yunior finds love, or when the protagonist escapes a dangerous life of a drug dealer to study literature. However, several instances of hope are immediately accompanied by betrayal, illness, or lock-up. Cycles of oppression, mistrust, and break up often challenge the validity of the United States as a land of opportunity.
A Cheater’s Guide to Love entails Diaz telling his story through Yunior. However, his voice multiplies and mutates from pseudo-omniscient narration in the initial paragraphs to sparse first-person perspective like when he says “When can I run again?” social progress narratives are challenged by the use of fragmented story structure (Diaz, 2012). The author’s amorphous approach to character traits is a direct challenge to the boundaries of socially constructed identities between women and men.
Abusive Language
Violence permeates Diaz’s A Cheater’s Guide to Love throughout the short story. He portrays violence through Yunior as a means to define men, to defend their dominance and claims to power. The main character wields an evident emotional violence against females. In the story, he cheats on multiple occasions, he deceives honest women that are serious about establishing a lasting relationship, and eventually, he emerges as a loser of every female he falls in love with. Furthermore, Yunior uses abusive language to reduce females to disposable desire objects. Use of demeaning terms such as ‘sluts’, and ‘bitches’ is a testament to protagonist’s gender insensitivity and disregard for women’s welfare. Yunior’s brother and father are sources of his foul language and a hateful consideration of women.
The main character lives in an environment where men view women as mere objects of pleasure and inferior beings. Specifically, he exhibits an open bias against the women of color, stating that they join Harvard to “get pregnant” (Diaz 2012), unlike white or Asian women. Yunior is convinced that a man cannot gain respect and love if he does not turn violent and hateful towards others. His view is in sharp contrast to the reality. He not only betrays himself but also the women he loves. His betrayal in costs him sanity, health, and will to live.
Masculinity
The story highlights the role of a male artist like Juno Diaz in feminist struggle for recognition, equality and entitlement of rights. The author is aware of his alignment to feminism as he draws masculine maps of privilege. The nature of language violence evokes reader’s negative emotions. Still, Diaz tracks various ways that violence revolve through physical and emotional displacement across distinct generations. He locates the origin of abusive language in formative character experience.
Liminality and limbo are two most common themes in Diaz’s short story. The author attempts to negotiate conflicting tensions that are embedded deeply in his identity.  Aesthetically, A Cheater’s Guide to Love paints the conflicting tensions in the life of the protagonist. The author has a remarkable talent for combing graceful and poetic prose with colloquialisms, Spanish phrases, and street slang. The shifting forms and registers of narrative address unite as palimpsest layers, thus immersing the reader deeply into Yunior’s day-to-day life. Therefore, the short story is infused with melancholy, heartbreak, and gritty realism (Van, 2009).
The existing tension between redemption and depravity in A Cheater’s Guide to Love creates an interesting dynamic that captures the reader's attention. It demonstrates the author's advanced creativity and imagination. There is a detailed description of one of the main character’s worst breakups and eventual consequences of its aftermath.  At long last, Yunior rediscovers his enthusiasm for art and writing after half a decade of multiple personal failures and depression.  His description of this moment is captivating and exhaustive, thus enabling the reader to picture the situation and to relate to Yunior’s evolving personality.
Epiphany
The short story spans for more than five years, but most importantly, it traces the narrator’s subsequent relationships that vary in length after initial breakup. As the book nears its end, the narrator attains epiphany—he immediately realizes that all women in his life are human beings that deserve to be treated with respect and honor, just like he does. After a long period of suffering, Yunior finally gains a true human understanding and imaginary. It is a pivotal achievement for a person of his caliber because average socialized men hardly view women as equals. Therefore, his internal and external conflicts are resolved.
The author banks on the characters in his story to balance infidelity, cruelty, abuse, and other less palatable qualities by brandishing the force of their voices to a strong effect. A complexity like this is appealing to readers that can closely relate to the author’s and Yunior’s personalities (Van, 2009). The story carries a dark ferocity because of distinct types of love portrayed. Even though the ending of the story falls flat, Diaz’s voice-driven and minimalist writing skills and style are exemplified sufficiently in A Cheater’s Guide to Love. He reveals a perplexing and complex web of family, friendship and labor.
The story’s content bears a checklist style content that sums up the entire book. In fact, it is a self-reflection of the narrator’s life history. It becomes increasingly clear that no matter how he intends to escape the vicious cycle, dark shadows of his former actions drags him back. Ultimately, he concludes that “…in a lying cheater’s heart that sometimes a start is all we ever get” (Diaz, 2012).  It is an exceptional and stylistic ending for a story that refers the reader back to the beginning besides exposing the protagonist’s regrets .The author injects twists in the story to ensure that the reader falls under his spell as seduced by Yunior’s openly human quest for a reformed lifestyle despite a flawed past.
In summary, A Cheater’s Guide to Love exposes the author’s chauvinistic traits. Diaz curves his lifestyle around a Yunior by employing a violent and abusive language to pass his intended message across. Most importantly, there is the protagonist experiences epiphany towards the end of the story that helps to resolve his and align his internal and external conflicts. Use of the first person in the narrative establishes a bond between the author and the readers. On the other hand, simplistic style applied guarantees a deeper understanding of the short story.

Supply Chain versus Supply Chain Competition

Supply Chain versus Supply Chain Competition
In the modern business environment, there is utilisation of aggressive outsourcing strategies. Businesses no longer compete against themselves. Rather, low-cost and high-quality sourcing environment create extreme competition among supply chains (Christopher, 2000 p. 39). As such, there is a shifting mindset on how supply chains and vendors affect daily sourcing challenges.
Part of the answer to such a phenomenon is the application of innovative information technology and shrinking product life cycles that have initiated a chain of reaction hence raising supply network performance expectations. Specifically, suppliers need to deliver additional value by employing new strategies and should be swift as per the market movements (Christopher, 2005). In addition, competitive suppliers should lower costs and be highly flexible when responding to changes in demand. To attain higher service levels, most firms turn opt for external suppliers for the provision of capabilities beyond organizational reach. As such, it necessitates deeper and higher levels of cooperation and coordination among the corporations.
Similarly, business entities chose to develop their supply chain network with the assistance of external suppliers in the creation of unique offering. An organisation can also create a unique value through integration of capabilities of other firms in their own supply chain networks. Maximization of that value occurs when a supply network exhibits union action as if it were a unitary organization in the marketplace. In light of these trends that focus on integration and outsourcing, it is clear that the nature of existing competition is based on supply chain (Boyaci, 2012, p. 14).
Limitations
As the global business entities embrace the supply chain competition, there are notable difficulties that plagues the trending business system. First, there are overlapping or common suppliers that limit the business’ ability to source for particular services or products. Conflict of interests arises for global suppliers especially during the provision of individualized value offerings to distinct customers. Moreover, use of common suppliers makes it hard for businesses to compete without compromising the participants of other supply networks. For example, if a supplier develops new capabilities for one customer, his other customers receive a signal on the business intelligence and secrets. Such a probability instils fear in corporate managers that intends to embrace global supplier competition (Qiang et al., 189). Instead, they prefer the traditional form of a company versus Company competition.
In supplier versus supplier business model, the actual competition that exists is between the customers and the suppliers. It demonstrates the level of difficulty when forging true international business collaborations between both parties. For example, Intel (computer chip maker) and Hewlett-Packard (manufacturer of computer hardware) can collaborate during the marketing process of their products, but at the same time, they are locked in a stiff competition to ensure customer loyalty during computer purchase as per value addition and branding.
Experts are yet to show the business benefits of supply network coordination. In fact, a sole-source relationship between suppliers and customers is the only advantage that can be demonstrated. Using data beyond one tier upstream and one tier downstream proves challenging in global supply chain competition as opposed to company competitions due to multiple reasons. First, global demand data has to be segmented, aggregated for numerous suppliers, and adjusted as per the latest material changes bill. At the moment, the existing international supply networks have complex and inflexible systems hence limiting customer procurement.
Furthermore, only a handful of globally recognized supply networks has a control point to coordinate competition with other logistics firms. The structure of a given industry contributes heavily to unfavourable conditions for supply chain competitions. Industries saturated with supply bases have a few suppliers possessing entrenched vested power (Cox et al., 2003). In this case, such suppliers can hardly coordinate with other suppliers or customers. Lastly large technological investment is needed for suppliers to meet global standards and to fulfil international trade requirements. In industries such as air transport and horticulture, customers are responsible for setting integration requirements, thus potentially raising sunken costs for supplies (Gereffi, 1995, pp. 100). Not only does this make supply chain difficult but also, it threatens the survival of start-up supply organizations.
Instances where Supply Chain Competition Dominate
Supply chain-based competition is evident when the logistics firm is a vertically integrated business entity. The competition can be against other multinational supply networks or with a similar vertically integrated corporation. International trade rules allow for one company to own numerous supply chains. However, some firms exploit the vulnerabilities in such regulations by outsourcing particularised needs instead of meeting all the demands. A critical factor to consider in this case is the prohibition of sharing common suppliers with competitors.
Supply chain-based competition also dominates when a highly integrated firm with no or limited common suppliers forms a supply network. Corporations with sole-source relationships compete for customers in a supply network setting.  Lastly, supplier competition is prevalent when the industry is so fragmented that common strategic suppliers are non-existent (Cox, 1999, p. 169). Instead, several supply networks replace them while strategic suppliers focus on a single supply network.
No evidence exists at the moment to show that producers—integrated vertically--outperform non-integrated supply network. Mostly, it is dependent on the global market conditions and the ease of trade between different countries. For example, a vertically integrated company can have a unique competitive advantage if there are cost benefits of exhibiting integrated operations and when low cost is a vital factor in the market. On the other hand, there is a of non-integrated network of suppliers holding a competitive edge if the key international market drivers are fast cycle time and heightened level of product innovation.
Supply Network Capability Competition
Supplier competition such as this is based on the design of internal supply network of a single company. Service capabilities and cost of the firm’s internal supply network is another factor that can trigger supplier-based competition. Large multinationals are increasingly basing their competition on network capabilities. They utilise and integrate internal supply network capabilities of other network members. The capabilities include offering a compelling solution via a downstream customer or upstream supplier. It is possible to leverage such ability for competitive advantage.
Besides adjacent downstream or upstream supply network firms, modern multinationals integrate additional capabilities via joint product development programs, marketing strategy arrangements, and JIT (Just In Time) logistical service provision (Prajogo et al., 2012 p. 516). Other moves include collaborative replenishment, forecasting and planning. Integrated capabilities have compelling advantages that include quantifiable benefits if one-to-one international coordination, added value through one-to-one business relations, and useful and immediate data sharing techniques. Worth noting is that there is a more tangible, manageable and controllable relationship with adjacent downstream and upstream corporations in comparison to individual firms with distant supply network participants.
Channel Master Competitions
In this form of supplier-based competition, a dominant corporation in supply network determines the terms of global trade across the supply network. A Channel Master uses its influence in the international market to manage activities and processes among its customers and suppliers. A classical example is the global supply networks of Walmart. Channel Masters operate solely for their own advantage and benefit with disregard to negative rippling effects to other network participants (Peterson, 2012, p. 1332). There are cases where a competing global firm is actually a customer of or supplier to the channel master.
Companies are obliged to recognize the role of language when understanding the global market dynamics and during the description of a supply network. While supply chain against supply chain competition has already replaced company vs. company competition, it is imperative to note that international business strategies are developing new approaches to further permit coordination among the members of supply networks. Many questions still linger regarding global governance issues such as authority cost-sharing, benefits, and control of supply chain competitions.
In summary, not a single business entity can be powerful enough to launch a successful solitary competitive strategy in a global environment. Cooperation between firms with like mindset and outsourcing of services from specialized supply chain organizations narrows room for error. However, it is important for partnering organizations to focus on the results, collaborate and build trust with each other to ensure success and fair competition. As the technology advances, companies get an opportunity to fully synchronize and integrate their supply chain with those of partnering corporations to boost performance even as the future prospects of the global economy become uncertain (Henderson et al., 2002).

Writing

Writing
Question 1:  What is writing?
Writing is like juggling or riding a bicycle. It is an activity rather than a study subject. It entails practice for perfection. People do not become writers overnight.  The most celebrated writers such as Charles Dickens or Shakespeare practiced persistently without quitting. Writing is like playing tennis or golf. Not only does it keep mind active, but also, it stimulates the brain cells.
A writer is an individual that utilize written words creatively in different patterns, techniques, and styles to communicate personalized ideas. Writers are responsible for the production of creative writing and literary arts. They author novels, poetry, short stories and screenplays. Others produce multiple utilitarian forms like news articles and reports. Skilled writers manipulate the language to express unique ideas that contribute to the societal cultural content.  I am a writer because I possess most of the necessary qualities. I am passionate towards the profession. I also spend a significant amount of time to practice. Over the years, my writing skills have improved tremendously.
Question 2:  Rewriting
In his book, Joseph Harris offers an advice to writing professionals, students and teachers on the need to incorporate voices, or outside sources into academic writing. His book focuses mainly on advancing wring skills by pushing the learning style of the student. His ‘moves’ concept is a guide to young writers. Even though Harris falls short of covering all fundamental revision aspects, his book covers supplemental voice in conversations about the education of writing process.  The author is convinced that the society lacks a tangible advice on how to conduct revisions.  According to Harris, true academic writing should reflect on inquiry, a re-thing and re-interpretation of the associated texts.  The works should be represented fairly as per writing aims. A writer should focus on suggesting different thinking strategies to ensure uniqueness of the information.
Question 3: Intertexuality
My story was intertextual because I borrowed phrases and concepts from the works of other writers. As such, my story became meaningful via evocation and referencing of other related texts.  As I borrowed information from other books, my story acquired multiple layers of meaning. Besides, my story interpreted the other texts differently due to shifts in effects and assumptions. I included different quotes from established and experienced writers to sum up the key story premise. Moreover, my story adopted the language of the authors whose works I utilized. This does not mean that my story lacks originality. Instead, Intertextuality boosted its credibility. It is hard to lose focus if the benefits of intersexuality are not embraced. However, each writer should take note and be aware of the risk and devastating effects of plagiarism. If used properly, intertextuality assumes its role as a sophisticated concept.

Question 4: Writing as a Transactional Activity
Writing is transactional because it entails sharing of information between different individuals and a communication of ideas. There are different forms of transactional writing including friendly mails, business letters, invitations and speeches. An interview is also one of the transactional writing genres. Success on social settings, schools and workplace demands a proper understanding of business and social transactional writing formats.
Writing is also transactional as it forms a communication chain aimed at informing, communicating, or persuading an audience.  Often, different genres of transactional writing are brief. The writers should outline a plan for such writing before they can commit time and resources to it. The opening paragraphs should thank recipients for communication. In fact, a transactional writing activity should be divided into two sections. The first section should establish the theme, while the last should elaborate the details. Furthermore, transactional writing is formal as it targets professionals (Worton, 2005).
